Funding may be available for single family homes, apartments for low-income persons or the elderly, housing for farm laborers, and community facilities such as childcare centers, fire and police stations, hospitals, libraries, nursing homes, schools. The programs also make funding available to individuals to finance vital improvements necessary to make their homes decent, safe, and sanitary.
