Eligibility

For closing cost program must meet income guidelines, attend pre-purchase counseling, be pre-approved under an approved lender, and meet additional guidelines. Counseling and education available to anyone interested. Must reside in Allegany, Cayuga, Chemung, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne and Yates counties.

Description

Provides up to $3,000 in assistance with closing costs through a loan that must be repaid for first time home buyers. Also offers HUD approved housing counseling including homebuyer counseling, reverse mortgage counseling to seniors, and foreclosure prevention programs.
